About Me

Hi! I'm Sophie, and I'm a third year actor at the Liverpool Institute for the Performing Arts. I was born and raised in London Ontario, Canada, but am currently based in the UK. In addition to my Canadian passport I am an American citizen. I am also currently in the process of acquiring my EU passport through the new Austrian Citizenship Act which provides Austrian citizenship to the descendants of victims of the Holocaust. The injustices my family suffered at the hands of the Nazi's has had a profound affect on me, and the kind of artist I am/ want to be. I know this is a bit heavy for my bio, but it's an important part of who I am, and I want to be able to share and discuss it.

I am a writer as well as an actor and my writing tends to centre on female stories. I'm a passionate feminist and social activist. My first theatre love was Shakespeare and I adore heightened text, from Hamlet to Hamilton. Outside of theatre you can probably find me watching home decor shows, looking at cats online, and putting off doing the dishes.
